It all began many years ago with a simple rubber stamp and some ink.  One thing led to another, as it seems like these things usually do, and here I am making  mixed media art and jewelry.  I'm workshop trained from some of the finest artist/teachers in the business right now - MaryBeth Shaw, Pam Carriker, Susan Lenart Kazmer, Deryn Mentock, Richard Salley, Jessica Jordan Cote, Diane Cook, Sandra Duran Wilson, April Bower, Julie Sanford and so many others - and although my formal training is in music (I have been a music educator since 1980), these fine artisan/teachers have helped give me the tools to allow me to express my inner artsy girl in a whole new way!

Signature items I make include wearable vintage hymnal page pieces – choosing the words in the pieces of music to highlight that will have meaning and inspiration to the wearer.  Giving life to pages that once inspired another generation in singing of their faith.

I love to melt silver onto copper, creating reticulation lines and swirls.  The patterns created when hot fire melts cool silver into reticulation, cannot be predicted or controlled, making each piece truly one of a kind.  Couple those reticulated pieces with delicate pearls and the result to me, is magic!

I like to reveal the magical interplay between metal and stone - add a little fire into the mix and voila!  Earrings, bracelets, necklaces - they're all fun to create!

My pieces are all one-of-a-kind.  I will be shipping you the exact item pictured and described.  I do not make to order, and do not often accept special orders.  Some pieces can however, be adjusted to fit, or ear wires adjusted (handmade ear wire exchanged for lever backs) - just ask.  You can be assured that the item you see is the item you will receive!  I want my customers to love their new piece!

My pieces have been described by others as "rustic, yet refined."  I love that description ~ it's exactly the look and feel I am looking to impart in each piece.
