Square music earring

Square music earring

$22.00Price

These earrings are created by taking bits from vintage hymnal pages, sealing portions of the page to bring out the clef sign and/or notes, gently embedding them into a sterling overlay bezel with a jeweler's grade resin, and then hanging them from sterling overlay ear wires.  I have lever back and French hooks - you choose & leave a note in the "notes" section of the checkout process.   (If no choice is made, I will send you a pair with French hooks.)

When adding the resin to the vintage paper, the paper reacts by turning darker, warmer, more golden, and a wee bit transparent.  Those areas that have been sealed prior to adding the resin remain the natural vintage paper look.  This creates a warmth and unique look - each paper turns a different hue and each pair of earrings is unique and wonderful.

Each one of these pairs of earrings is one of a kind, and comes from an actual vintage hymnal - each pair will vary slightly in color.  The picture is representational of the pair you will receive, but not the actual pair.

If you are purchasing a hymnal heart or toggle heart necklace or any other piece of hymnal jewelry and would like the earrings to coordinate with that, please just let me know and I will color match.

All of my pieces are packaged for shipment in one of my signature handmade cloth pouches which are unique and oh, so giftable.

  • Care Instructions

Caring for your new jewelry is easy.  The best way to care for it, is to wear it!!  Jewelry that is worn tarnishes more slowly, so wear and enjoy.

Should you notice a bit of tarnish, you may use a Sunshine Cloth or any other dry polish cloths.  Please avoid any pastes or liquids when polishing.  If you have a piece with stones, please note that anything liquid or paste may harm the stones or discolor them.

If trying to sanitize, sterling silver jewelry may be wiped gently with alcohol.  Avoid rubbing alcohol on the stones - I can't guarantee the results.  Please also avoid using bleach on sterling silver, as it will turn black.  If it does, a polish with a Sunshine cloth will have it good as new!!
