Hand Hammered Sterling Earrings - "Reflections"
These hand hammered sterling disc earrings are eye catching and fun. Large, rustic, unique, (did I mention large?) and yet featherweight.
The sterling silver has been hand cut, hammered and shaped. Not exactly round, but not exactly not. Just quirky enough to know that these were hand made. Patina was applied, then gently removed, leaving the dark in the low spots, and giving a warm, rustic, matte finish in the high spots. These will be noticed. Because, why be boring?
The earrings hang almost 2.5" from the lobe, and the discs are just at 1.5" in diameter. They hang from my own hand forged ear wires. They are made from a lightweight gauge of sterling, leaving them much lighter than the size would indicate. These are "wear all day" earrings.
You will receive these exact pair of earrings, made one at a time in my little northern Michigan studio using timeless methods of handcrafting with metal and stone. I package each pair in a handmade cloth pouch, suitable for gifting or carrying your new earrings with you when you travel. I hope you truly love your new pair of earrings!!
Care Instructions
Caring for your new jewelry is easy. The best way to care for it, is to wear it!! Jewelry that is worn tarnishes more slowly, so wear and enjoy.
Should you notice a bit of tarnish, you may use a Sunshine Cloth or any other dry polish cloths. Please avoid any pastes or liquids when polishing. If you have a piece with stones, please note that anything liquid or paste may harm the stones or discolor them.
If trying to sanitize, sterling silver jewelry may be wiped gently with alcohol. Avoid rubbing alcohol on the stones - I can't guarantee the results. Please also avoid using bleach on sterling silver, as it will turn black. If it does, a polish with a Sunshine cloth will have it good as new!!
